Vacation Recap Part Deux

So in my previous post I gave a recap of July 3rd in NYC and July 4th at Jay's parents house so I thought I would finish giving the recap of the next couple of legs of our trip. On July 5th we woke up, admitably, a bit groggy and we made the 4 hour drive to Winchester. In Winchester we had my cousins daughters second birthday party to attend, which was more like a wedding shower for 70 people, but we got to see much of my extended family any have some delicious barbecue from Blue Ribbon. You can see some pictures of the party through the first link below. The night of the 5th we continued driving and headed down to the Cape.

On the Sunday the 6th we were getting ready for a surprise birthday party for my Mom's sixtieth birthday party. At around noon we lied and told my mom we were going to meet some friends for brunch. Instead we ran a couple of errands and went down to see my cousin Matt who I told you about before. He has opened his new business Freedom Boat Club of Dennis and business is doing very well. If you spend time on the Cape, have some money and don't want to buy your own boat, his club is the way to go. Anyway later in the day we had the party, we all ate and drank and that night a bunch of us headed to one of my favorite spots, Chapins, for a few late night drinks.

One the 7th and 8th I played golf with my Dad and a couple of his friends. I played awful, might have hit 2 fairways on the day, shot something like a 107 and really didn't want to play the next day. So of course I do play and shoot one of the best rounds of my life, posting a 43 on the front nine and a 91 overall. We walked both days as well which is pretty exhausting. Also on the 8th Tracy and I took a drive to Chatham and walked around and shopped a bit, I had never really been to Chatham so it was fun to check it out. Dinner at Clancy's and the baked schrod on Tuesday night was delicious.

So that is a little more than half of our vacation. There are still more pictures and more stories from our few days in NH and I'll post about that later on. Until then check out the galleries.
