Turkey Day 2006

Those of you that know me well enough know that Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday. This is mostly because it revolves around Turkey, my favorite food group, all of the extras that come with the Turkey are just "gravy" as they say. Before I give the agenda for this weekend let's recap this past weekend.

On Friday night I happily went to bed at 9:30PM...the early morning gym trips were kicking my ass all week and I was wiped out. I'm not sure how I feel about this but on Saturday morning I tried a spinning class at the gym for the first time and I must say that it is a pretty ridiculous workout. On Saturday night we went and saw The Departed, the first time I've been to the movies since Wedding Crashers if you can believe that. The Departed was definitely worth it, you should check it out if you haven't already. Sunday I went to Tommy Joe's and watched the Pats whoop up on the Packers of Green Bay, it was a most ripping victory. I also went 3 -1 in fantasy football for those of you keeping track. That puts my four teams at 9-2, 8-2-1, 7-4 and 7-4.

Last night I got a chance to go to my first University of Maryland basketball game. I went with a couple of guys from the lacrosse team and our seats were on the floor, literally my feet were on the hard wood, some of the best seats I've ever had at a sporting event.

So what's the deal for the holiday? We are flying out tomorrow AM, hanging in Manch tomorrow night and then spending Thanksgiving day with Tracy's family. On Friday we'll head down to Winchester and then experience the debauchery that is my 10 year high school reunion...that is a scary thought. Saturday we'll recover with sandwiches from various establishments and lay low Saturday night. Sunday I'll be heading to the Pats game in Foxboro against the Chicago Bears, I'll once again be showing off my superior tailgating skills. We won't have time to see everyone, per usual, but give me a call if you are around.

Gobble, gobble...
