Congrats To Alex and Aja
Rehearsal Festivities
Wedding
What's The Good WordSuppose you would call it a lifestream...By Brian FitzgeraldFiled under: congratsCongrats To Alex and Aja
Sitting around tonight, watching the Pats get crushed, I have a feeling it is going to be a long, long season for them. At least we still have the Sox in a good spot and I'm a complete zombie right now after being up late last night watching extra innings game. This weekend was our first weekend in DC in a while so we just relaxed, got caught up on stuff around the condo and spent a good amount of time doing homework, the beauty of being in school. So Alex and Aja's wedding was last weekend and it was an awesome time. I've got lots of pictures linked below from the festivities over the long weekend. On Friday a bunch of us went fishing and didn't catch a darn thing, there were also some of the choppiest seas I've ever been on, which didn't make fore an easy time.Overall it was such a good time, we got to see and hang out with people that we hadn't seen in a long time. We all grew up together but nowadays we are all living across the country so when we do have an opportunity to get together it is usually a ridiculous time, as I think the pictures will show.Well, we've got class again tomorrow and on Tuesday and then we have another wedding this upcoming weekend. This one is actually in Delaware, about three hours from us, so it is somewhat local. It is the wedding of some friends of ours down here and should be a great time as well.I'll try to check in this week, enjoy the pictures...Fishing Trip
Rehearsal Festivities Wedding Congrats to Joe and CourtneyThis post is long over due but I wanted to extend some well wishes to Joe and Courtney on the birth of their daughter Madeleine. Madeline's full name is Madeline Guido Pallotta, no not really but her dad's middle name is in fact Guido, which rocks. More and more people we know are racking up babies which is exciting on one end and makes us old on another, so I guess it is what it is, the exciting part probably wins out. Here is a shot of Joe and daughter, Courtney I had pictures of you but figured you wouldn't want those on the world wide Internet. Congrats Welcome To Riley James Sullivan
Congrats to The Sullivans who welcomed baby boy Riley to the world on Sunday. Riley tipped the scales to the tune of 6 pounds 12 ounces, not bad. I don't have any pictures yet but if I get any I'll consider sharing.Brian and Erin, congratulations!
Congratulations To Jay And JoanneThis past weekend was a great one. My wife gave a partial recap over on NH Lady so I won't go into all the details and I'll share a few special tidbits here that she maybe didn't cover.First and foremost it was great seeing everyone. From Jay and Joanne, to Jay's entire family, to Sully and Erin, Otis and his girlfriend Caroline, Spencer, Pittie and many, many more people. As I mentioned previously I had the honor of being a groomsman in the wedding and playing that role was especially nice for me this past weekend because it allowed me to remember what friends and family really and truly mean. I won't get all sappy because we all know that isn't my bag but there was just something special about this weekend that was really nice and you really felt loved by everyone. I don't think I've hugged as many people as I did on Sunday when we were leaving in a long, long time.Secondly, as a groomsman I was in the position to get a real badass gift, shown below. Jay's gift to his groomsmen was a pair of personalized Dunk Lows which we wore for the wedding. Each pair was black and white but the third color was different for each of us (green for me) and the NikeID on the back was personalized for each of us as well. Each personalization had certain important meaning to Jay and the word on my pair is Boston which is for many reasons that Jay and I share. Pretty sick.
Lastly, I'm making a switch for the WTGW gallery. I'm likely going to retire the old school gallery I've been using for the last couple of years and start moving everything over to Picasa. I've uploaded the pictures from paparazzi Tracy into my first album on Picasa. So far I'm very impressed with the functionality and the way it works so I think I'm going to stick with it for a while. I don't know if I'll move all of the old stuff over because that is a pretty daunting task but if I end up having some free time I wouldn't put it past me, I'm pretty anal like that.Anyway, gotta go because we are going to try to and get up early and start doing the gym thing again.Congratulations to Jay and Joanne!
Happy New Year 2008
Happy New Year everyone, let's see...what's happening. We had a great New Year's we went over a friends house with a small group of 12-15 and had a nice site down dinner, all the men even wore ties just to be a little fancy. We did take some pictures with the new badass camera and I'll have those posted this weekend.Prior to New Year's my parents were here for the weekend. They were driving down to Florida for the month and so they stopped here on the way for a couple of nights to break up the trip. They were here Friday night and we just relaxed and hung in and had a little fajita night. Saturday we didn't do much but then went to this great pizza place 2 Amy's for dinner and it was fantastic. We were then back with enough time to play a fierce game of scrabble before the Pats game. I have to say that game was a much closer than I would have liked but everyone knew that Eli would choke. I have to say I'm not too happy with how the Pats defense looks right now, hopefully they can figure it out over the next week or so. Everyone down here is ga-ga over the fact that the Redskins are in the playoffs and I have to say I'm happy they made it because they deserve it after what they have gone through this year and I actually think they have a chance to beat Seattle this weekend and make a serious run at the NFC championship game.We just got back from our GMAT class a little while ago and I have some work stuff I want to take care of before I get some shuteye so I'm going to jet but we are around this weekend and I should have time to post something before I leave for Anaheim next Tuesday.By the way does my wife even have a website anymore?
Upcoming Memorial Day Weekend
We are heading to Saratoga for the weekend for Matt's wedding, Matt is Mandy's brother. Saratoga should be a great locale for this long weekend as the weather should be great and the wedding should be beautiful. We'll finally get to see Mandy and Dan since their huge news from a few weeks ago and finally get to celebrate. Dan texted me today to let me know that he has a bottle of Captain with my name on it, I think he probably meant to send it to his other friend Brian because I don't touch that stuff.I'll also be spending as much time as possible watching the lacrosse final four on ESPN this weekend and I know that all you laxers out there will be doing the same. If you are not a lacrosse fan and even if you don't understand the game or know nothing about it I would recommend watching some of it on Saturday and Monday. If we were not going to New York I would be at the events live this year because they are taking place in Baltimore, which despite some popular opinions is not where we live, but it is very close.Tracy had some wicked travel experiences this week which I'll let her explain to you separately and while they were bad they didn't quite rival some of the horrors I've had over the last few months. She'll be traveling more over the next few weeks so she'll have an opportunity to make a run at some of my worst stories.Have a great weekend and make sure to have some steak tips for me, I've still been unsuccessful in finding tips of any kind down here.
Congratulations To Al And AjaIt is with great excitement that I congratulate Alex and Aja on their engagement yesterday. It wasn't exactly a surprise as Al has been bouncing ideas off Tracy and I for the last few months but it is a happy day for them and for all of their friends and family. We can't wait to hear all the details and catch up with you guys in the Vineyard in a few months.Because Al was the best man in my wedding I'm allowed to wonder how he tricked her into marrying him I really have no idea. Others might say it's about friggin time.Congratulations you guys.
Congratulations Congratulations To The Goat
This post is pretty overdue but I had to take some necessary steps to prove that this was actually true and not a stunt being played by Jon "The Goat" Harvey. So, after some reconnaissance and research I have in fact validated that Jon and Erin are in fact engaged and will be getting married in April 2008.To make things even more interesting I don't have a single picture of the two of them together and I wasn't able to obtain one through any of my other sources either, which is interesting. Anyway congrats you guys and can't wait to see you this summer.I'm off to Fort Worth, TX tomorrow for some more meetings and training. Big Al Racioppi is already out in Fort Worth scoping out the local establishments and I know that he'll have a cold one waiting for me when I arrive.Until this weekend, peace out.
Random Notes From The Weekend
Congratulations to Jason and Joanne who got engaged over the weekend. Can't wait for your wedding and we're so happy for you guys.If you cut up a jalapeño pepper when making guacamole, don't rub your eyes soon after. It results in hot, tearing discomfort in your eye area.We went to a "learn how to cook a turkey" class at the mall on Sunday (insert whipped husband joke here). It was actually alright and got us all in the mood for the most fantastic holiday of them all...Thanksgiving.Picked up some tailored pants that I got from Brooks Brothers with a gift certificate, I was in desperate need for more dress pants.Fantasy football is in full swing. My four teams are 7-2, 6-2-1, 5-4 and 6-3. I'm in good shape in all leagues so far.We went to a some more open houses this weekend, still just looking but it's fun starting to get an idea of what's out there.I'm joining the gym tomorrow morning, I'm giving up on the schwag setup in our building. It has served me well but there just isn't enough variety to keep me interested and it's starting to get more and more crowded.
A Belated Congratulations To Nik And KateThis post is long overdue as our friends Nik and Kate deserve a shout out for getting married on September 17th. I gave them props on their engagement a little over a year before they tied the knot a month ago up in Maine. I haven't been able to touch base with Nik yet to get any additional scoop so that is all I have to share at this time. Tracy and I were unable to attend the wedding because of their day's close proximity to ours and of course they were not able to attend our wedding because they were on their honeymoon, or so they say! Anyway, Nik give a brother a call when you can.
Congratulations! |
