Shimmy Shimmy Cocoa Pop

Growing up cereal was pretty much the centerpiece of my diet. Up until the time I finished high school and left for college cereal was always something I relied on for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner. Back then my most commonly eaten cereals looked something like:

  • Frosted Flakes
  • Fruity Pebbles
  • Cap'N Crunch Crunchberries
  • Cinnamon Toast Crunch
  • Corn Pops
  • Lucky Charms
  • Golden Grahams
  • Cookie Crisp
  • Super Golden Crisp
  • Total Raisin Bran

Over the last few weeks I have rediscovered my love for a big bowl of cereal with milk. These days I've been eating a lot of Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios and staying away from the sugar-loaded cereals of my earlier years. I have even been mixing cereal with yogurt a tasty trick that I first learned from Nik back a few years ago. I always made fun of him for that but it is damn delicious.

I'd also like to give some props to Jay who we ridiculed for 3 years because we would all get back from the gym and Sully and I would prepare a normal meal with meat, veg and starch and Jay would grab a bowl and pour himself a bowl of cereal. We insisted it was because he was lazy but he insisted it was because he loved cereal...well I have rekindled that love and I'm psyched.
