Can You Dig It?
That is the team name of our recently formed indoor volleyball squad which is comprised of The Doyle's, Tracy and I and few others that were interested in doing something other than sitting around and wasting space. I've been working on my bump, set and spike techniques and we have practice this Sunday at 6AM. We are going to run 5 miles followed by a few hours of pick up matches against some local high school teams. Well not exactly as I'll be at Tommy Joe's with Chris for half priced apps and drink specials but ehhhh, who's keeping track.
Like Sinjin Smith, Randy Stoklos, Karch Kiraly and Kent Steffes dominated beach volleyball we are prepared to bring total domination to the Bethesda indoor volleyball circuit. In all seriousness I like to think that I can hold my own. In high school volleyball was actually a pretty popular game that we played on weekends at Cooch's house and had random tournaments throughout the school year that were a lot of fun and extremely competitive. My favorite memory from those tournaments was every team going to Building 19 1/2 and putting together their team unis from the bargain bins, with cheesy headbands and tight, crotch hugging shorts.I'll have to apologize for the Photoshop job below, I was short on time and just whipped it together for effect. I'm not nearly as talented as some in these Photoshop contests.
