Back And Better Than Ever

So we are back from vacation and have lots to talk about, where to begin? We left DC on Thursday the 3rd and drove up to New York. We had hoped to get tickets to the Sox game in the Bronx that night be we settled for seats at Professor Thom's in New York City and watched the game there. We got to the bar a couple of hours early to make sure we got seats and we quickly learned that there was a Japanese morning show recording live from the bar back to Japan's version of Good Morning America. Long story short is that Al and I, decked out in our Sox garb, were on this Japanese morning show with a bunch of other fans. I was with the others just yelling "Go Sox" like a madman but Al was the person that they chose to interview and so he got his few minutes of glory. It was comical to say the least. We got the producers business card and I hope to track down the footage somewhere so we can share it. After the game we headed out to some other bars and met up with Tarin and some of Tracy's other friends from NH and hung with them until heading home around 1AM.

Friday, the morning of the 4th, was a bit miserable for a while but once we got going it turned into a sweet time. We headed out to Suffern, NY to hang at Jason's parents house. Sully and Erin came by for a little bit to show off their little guy Riley, who is an extremely well behaved and cute little man. We then drank and played wiffle ball, and pool basketball and ladder golf. Ladder golf was new to me and it was pretty fun, in the same category as horseshoes and bags and all of your other backyard games. Later in the evening we started rolling some dice and continued that until 2AM until some major money had changed hands. Lucky for me I ended up in the black pretty nicely. Check out the 4th of July gallery for the full visual.

That is the recap of the 3rd and 4th but it is getting late and I need to hit the hay. I'll give some scoop on the rest of the trip, including more photos, over the next few days.
